We streamline tip management by cutting out the middleman and connecting staff directly with their customers. Acting as a reliable commercial agent, we collect tips on behalf of the staff through our TiPJAR® Collection Portal. With our transparent Distribution Engine, funds are distributed fairly based on hours worked, and who was working at the time the tip was received.

Cleared by HMRC as cash-equivalent

TiPJAR® has been cleared by HM Revenue & Customs, the UK tax collecting authority. This means that as long as an operator hands over full control of tip management to the staff via the TiPJAR® platform, they cannot be held responsible for tax or National Insurance contributions on the tips collected and can move away from operating complex and costly tronc systems in their business. More tips for staff and less pain for operators!

When a customer pays for their bill, they are prompted to leave a tip, and can pay for both their meal and the tip at the same time via Apple Pay, Google Pay or any major card provider. 

The tip is automatically split off and sent to the team’s TiPJAR where they can access their tips immediately. The funds for the meal are sent to the business.
